German soprano Christiane Oelze, for this and ensuing seasons, will be soloist on virtually every European concert stage for both oratorio and lieder programs, and with Paris Opera Garnier in “Le Nozze de Figaro”.

American conductor John Axelrod, who recently was appointed to the post of Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Lucerne (Switzerland) Opera and Symphony, also recently conducted the Sinfonia Cracovia in the music of Viktor Ullmann for a BBC special, filmed in November at the WWII concentration camp in Dachau, Germany.

The renowned French baritone François Le Roux, was recently featured in an exclusive interview for Opera News and has written a new book on the interpretation of French art song called “Le Chant Intime”, with co-author Romain Raynaldy, published by Fayard.
